NOTE FROM DEVON: As a photographer and film and television director, my passion is to tell inspiring human stories, whether in a single photograph or in a film. When it comes to photography, each image literally catches 1/60th of a second in time. With children, being able to capture a fleeting moment from a period in a child’s life is an exciting and rewarding challenge. And for you, the parents, grandparents, extended family, and friends, even as they grow, you will be able to look back on that 1/60th of a second forever.
My mentor in photography is my Grandmother, Nina, a professional photographer focused on portrait photography and on capturing images from her extensive travels. I started assisting her when I was 8, and knew immediately that photography was also my passion. I studied photography at Spéos Institute of Photography in Paris, at Oxford University, and at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops in New Mexico, all studies that lead me to an MFA in Film and Television Production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
I’ve also made travel a priority over the past 15 years. I love adventure and the exploration of other cultures, their people, and their stories. Please take a look at the “Places” gallery on this website to see some images from these travels.
